Triple Fake Out

I've begun learning my daughter's subtle signals.  If I'm changing her diaper and she's not at least a little frustrated, something's up.

This evening when I was changing her she was perfectly calm.  I knew this was a sign.  I unlatched her diaper and waited.  Fifteen seconds later she made another poopy.  I felt pretty good about myself.  I saw the signal and I didn't waste another diaper.

I wiped her up and started getting another diaper ready.  BOOM!  Another poo.  All over daddy, the new diaper and the changing station.  It was a gassy horrific mess.

For the grand finale she peed on me.

Phlarpt

A strange, unearthly sound just erupted from my daughter. I have yet to determine its point of emanation. I have the typical, parental fear that Cthulhu may be communicating to her with dream messages. When the stars are right, she will be His tool and the earth will be undone. It may have just been a poppy diaper.

Lilly's Late Night Road Trip

Typically, Lilly is her fussiest between 10:30pm and 2am. Tonight, she was a darling angel. Mom and Dad weren't tired though because of the new routine. At 1:30am, just as we're getting in bed, Rachel starts thinking she might have a blood clot in her leg becguse of the bed rest. Now we're at the ER.

Bright Eyes

Lilly let us sleep last night.  It was the most amazing non-consecutive six hours of sleep I've ever had.  There was a minor incident with a poopy diaper.  As I was changing the diaper Lilly decided to poop again.  It was no ordinary poo.  The poo flew unencumbered at least three feet.  All over daddy, daddy's hand, daddy's foot, the blanket, her outfit and the changing table.  I'm not even angry... I'm impressed.

Lilly is a fan of her grandpa.

Lillian the Spoiled

I was filling out Lilly's birth announcement and noticed that she has 7 grandparents and 7 great-grandparents.  To most of them, this is the first grandchild/great-grandchild.

Lilly will be spoiled.

Sleepy Lilly Makes the Grade

Lilly passed all her first day tests.  She's not deaf and her blood sugar is at a good level.  They said that Lilly was "aggressive" in the nursery.  Sounds like she was beating up on the other babies.

With Two Ls

Lillian Mae Johnson was born 12:37pm, 21 September, 2010 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Her weight was 3.487kg (7lbs 11oz) and her length was 50.165 cm (19.75 inches).
